| Until recently Boston had a working waterfront. That was when No-Name Seafood was a restaurant had fresh fish because it was located on the pier where the fishing boats came in. One of my first jobs in Boston was in a bindery located in this area, South Boston, that eventually moved to cheaper real estate. It was just too much to have a manufacturing facility in the area. Now South Boston is the next great frontier for Boston where ideas are planted and high-priced condominiums are expected to grow. This small chapel sits surrounded by parking lots and across the street from the Federal Courthouse. The building itself has been here since the 50s and in doing a bit of online research I found that Senator Kerry went to Mass here in 2004 during his presidential bid. That said, it still looks lonely and out of place in the middle of all the building going on just outside of this frame. |
